On March 10 at 1:06 p.m. a man tried to burn himself near the building of the Government of Armenia.

ArmLur.am reported that 43-year-old Henrikh Grigoryan had called the police and informed that he is a war veteran and wants to burn himself in front of the government building since the relevant authorities aren’t doing anything to help him find his wife and children.

Police rushed to the scene, and at 6:20 p.m. officers of the second company of the first battalion of the Patrol Sentry Service Regiment of the Yerevan Police Department noticed a man trying to commit suicide by pouring gasoline over himself in front of the government building.

The officers succeeded in preventing the suicide and took the man to the police station where they found out that the citizen is H. Grigoryan, who had informed that he wanted to commit suicide due to family issues.

The police released him, and a report is being prepared.
