Catholicos Aram I of the Armenian Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia of the Armenian Apostolic Church on Tuesday received Armenian ambassador to Lebanon Vahagn Atabekyan.

"The meeting was an opportunity to reflect on the internal situation in Armenia and Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], the Armenia-Diaspora relations, as well as the current challenges facing Lebanon.

His Holiness informed the ambassador that the role of Turkey in the region—and in particular, in the Artsakh war—was reflected on during his meeting with the ambassador of Saudi Arabia the day before.

At the same time, His Holiness expressed hope that Saudi Arabia would contribute to the issue of return of Armenian captives in Azerbaijan," the respective statement reads in particular.
