YEREVAN. - 12 cases of snake bites were registered in Armenia in 2011, said chief toxicology expert Mikayel Gabrielyan to a press conference on Friday.
Despite the efforts, the wound of one of the victims proved terminal. Currently two more snake bitten people are under medical care, one of them is a serviceman.
According to Gabrielyan 30-40 cases of snake bites are registered in Armenia each year. He stated that all Armenian medial institutions are equipped with corresponding anti-venom serums.
