YEREVAN. - There are no great expectations for the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents’ meeting in Kazan, Chairman of Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, Armenian Parliament, Hrayr Karapetyan told a press conference on Wednesday.
“The meeting will indicate that Azerbaijan is not ready for the conflict resolution and concessions. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s speech at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe proved Armenia is ready to make concessions. Following the presidents’ meeting in Kazan, the international community and the OSCE Minsk Group should exert pressure on Azerbaijan and impose tough sanctions,” Karapetyan stressed, According to him, if the militariy hostilities resume, all the other countries in the region will also be involved in the conflict.
Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian presidents are expected to meet in Kazan on June 25.
