WASHINGTON. - “There’s an opportunity in Kazan and that the sides to Karabakh conflict should seize this opportunity to peacefully resolve their differences,” Deputy Spokesperson for U.S. State Department Mark C. Toner commented on the impending meeting of Armenia and Azerbaijani Presidents in Kazan at a daily press briefing.

“There is a meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents in Kazan, Russian city of Kazan, within couple of days. I know that United States and also the other two co-chairman country recently activated efforts to bring the sides together. And I was wondering if there is any message from Washington or from this building to both sides, to Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents, prior to this important meeting,” the journalist asked.

“Sure.  I can see if we have any more to say, but I would just respond by saying that there’s an opportunity here and that they should seize this opportunity to peacefully resolve their differences,” Toner said.
