YEREVAN. – Chief of Armenia’s police service Alik Sargsyan told journalists on Thursday that he is ready to award the policemen who killed Armen Yengibaryan, 30, at the Garegin Nzhdeh subway, suspected in robbery in Yerevan.

Sargsyan will realize his intention to award the policeman after investigation is over. However, he does not hide that policeman’s actions were legal, as much as weapon was concerned, using of which does not guarantee a person will stay alive.

Armen Yengibaryan, was injured and died in the hospital after the shot by the policeman in Garegin Nzdeh subway station in Yerevan. The young man was suspected in robbery. He posed as an employee of water utility service. According to police, Yengibaryan was first who fired from his gun.
