YEREVAN.- President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan arrived on Friday on a two-day visit to Kazan, Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.

He will meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev. Presidents will attend the traditional Russian President’s Cup horse race at the invitation of Dmitry Medvedev.

Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Thursday saying “the document, which will be discussed in Kazan, is a result of an important period of joint work of the parties and co-chairs. It is a solid foundation for further advancement and preparation for the comprehensive peace agreement”.

On the eve of the meeting Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents held phone conversations with their French and U.S. counterparts who urged them to achieve success at the meeting.
