YEREVAN. - Military parade staged in Azerbaijan immediately after the Kazan meeting of presidents is not a mere coincidence. Aliyev had a specific intent to present the armed forces to the world, said political scientist, chancellor of Yerevan Linguistic University Suren Zolyan.

“During the parade Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev presented military budget of his country, openly spoke about possible resumption of hostilities,” he said.

Speaking about the OSCE Minsk Group, the expert stressed it is a bad format but there is no better so far.

“In any case the Minsk Group remains the most favorable format now. At the same time, most probably, the mediators are not needed in the Karabakh peace process. However, changes should be made both in Armenia and Azerbaijan to introduce new format,” he concluded.
