YEREVAN.- There will be nothing extraordinary if the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) replaces Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) as a result of forthcoming parliamentary elections, said PAP MP Vardan Bostanjyan.
“If it happens, let it be so. Prosperous Armenia is not jealous of the ANC,” he said adding that party’s members are self-contained people and are not jealous of non-parliamentary opposition.
The MP also noted that the party has gathered strong and smart people who are not subjected to provocative talks peculiar for election campaign.
“Prosperous Armenia is not paying attention to intrigues and will run for parliament as an independent force,” Bostanjyan concluded.
The Armenian National Congress is a non-parliamentary oppositional union founded in 2008 headed by first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Oppositional union comprises 17 political parties.
The Prosperous Armenia is a political party included in the ruling coalition.
