YEREVAN.- Armenian soldiers are guarding the border with honor, said Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan speaking on Wednesday at the event dedicated to the Day of missing persons.

“Honor and glory to the dead and missing. Their fate is unknown, perhaps many of them are dead, but relatives continue to wait and hope,” the Minister said.

Ohanyan noted that the Defense Ministry and the state commission on POWs, hostages and missing persons have achieved some results and promised that the work will continue.

He stressed that they are specifying the lists of missing and cooperating with international organizations.

The Minister wished the families patience, adding that work started by their sons and husbands will not be left half-way.

“The armed forces are defending our Motherland, providing peace and security of the Armenian people,” he concluded.
