The Korean Air Force and the United States began joint maneuvers on Monday, a source in the South Korean Ministry of Defense told KBS TV channel
According to him, the exercise will last five days.
They will involve about a hundred units of aircraft, including South Korean fighters F-15K and KF-16, American F-16.
The air command of the republic refused to give any details, saying only that the maneuvers are being carried out in a balanced manner in accordance with the plan.
