Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, will introduce the Human Dignity Index, gazeta.uz reported.

It will be an analogue of the world human development index. The index is noteworthy because it is in tune with the idea put forward by our head of state, "In the name of human honour and dignity", the government press office said.

The Khokimiyat Analytical Centre will analyse residents' problems. Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered the centre to study the issue with experts.

On January 31, the head of state received reports on projects to be implemented in Tashkent.

Among other projects, there was a proposal to introduce a human dignity index in Tashkent.

A 56-question survey will be held among a number of selected districts. In this way, it will be determined what areas require the most attention and what the residents need.
