YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes. As of January 1, 2022, the number of permanent population of the RA was 2,961,000 people. In the same period of 2021, the number of permanent population of the RA was 2,963,300; that is, the number of the permanent population decreased by 2,300 in one year. At the beginning of 2020, the number of permanent population of the RA was 2,959,700, whereas at the beginning of 2019—2,965,300. Zhoghovurd daily learns about this from the RA Statistical Committee.
The number of urban population was 1,891,900, and the rural [population]—1,069,100. The number of permanent population of Yerevan was 1,092,700 people.
As of July 1, 2021, the indicator of the number of the permanent population of the RA was 2,964,600 people, including the urban [population]—1,896,700, the rural [population]—1,067,900 people. As of July 1, 2020, the number of permanent population of the RA was 2,963,000; that is, the number of population [in Armenia] continues to decline after the revolution [in 2018].
