Yerevan. – Investigation agency presented details of the shells revealed in the scene of the clashes between police and demonstrators on March 1, 2008 in Yerevan.

1772 shells of different caliber were collected in the scene of the clashes, head of the investigation group of Armenian Special investigation service Vahagn Harutyunyan told at a press conference on Wednesday.

The shells generally belonged to Makarov and Kornet pistol types. However, 340 shells, collected in the scene, were shot by unidentified weapons. Head of investigation group believes the weapons were kept illegally. There were no guns found in the scene.

As a result of authorities-opposition resistance, eight demonstrators and two policemen were killed on March 1, 2008 in Yerevan.
