MOSCOW. - A group of migrant workers including 8 citizens of Armenia were arrested in Moscow on Wednesday evening, Adviser at Armenian Embassy in Russia Eduard Jabazyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

According to the embassy member, the worker’s documents and legal status are being verified.

As reported earlier. a camp of illegal migrants was found in western Moscow. About 72 natives from Central Asia, as well as Armenia, Ukraine and Belarus staged overnight home near Ryabinovaya Street. They settled closer to working place and slept on mattresses along the railway bed.

All the detainees were brought to the police department. Administrative measures will be taken in accordance with the immigration law of the Russian Federation.
