YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Chief police Alik Sargsyan dismissed deputy head of Police Academy Ashot Sahakyan on July 30, Armenian News-NEWS.am informs. Head of police PR department Ashot Aharonyan confirmed the information. However, no information is available on the reasons of the dismissal.

Police Academy faces not only personnel but also constructive changes, explained head of police PR. Armen Ghukasyan is appointed new deputy of Academy. One of the parents, whose son studies at the Academy, called Armenian News-NEWS.am and said that they plan to collect signatures to protect the former deputy. Sahakyan is a very good professional and parents wish to see him again in the office.
