Cargo turnover of the South Caucasian Railway (SCR) in the first half of 2011 went up by 11.7% as compared to last year, said SCR General Director Shevket Shaydulin in his speech dedicated to the Day of railway employee.

He stressed that increase in labor productivity made 14% in the same period.

“SCR has fully met its obligations under concession agreement for 2008 - 2010 and also plans to provide 100% implementation in 2011,” said General Director of SCR. Shaydulin recalled that in 2011 company’s investments will make about AMD 16,6 billion.

“We can assert that have satisfied requirements in transportation, have increased macroeconomic efficiency of rail transport in Armenia,” he added.
