YEREVAN.- The issue of the detained opposition activists is a legal one, said representative of ruling coalition MP Gagik Minasyan.

He refrained from making any comments on the case. The MP from Republican Party called “absurd” assertions that there are political prisoners in Armenia.

The issue of detained activists was a key point of discussions during the last meeting of the coalition and opposition representatives, he told journalists on Wednesday.

“We can not make statements on the issue and give promises. It is unreasonable to expect such moves from our delegation,” he added.
