At 11:55pm on Tuesday, the Police of Armenia received a report from the Vanadzor Medical Center that an ambulance team had brought to the hospital an injured Yerevan man, 44, from near the Vanadzor railway station.

Police officers carried out inspections in the area near the aforesaid station, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Police. And during the inspection, the dead body of Vanadzor resident Hovhannes Hakobyan, 38—and with forehead lacerations—was found in a dilapidated building.

It was found out that during an argument in the aforementioned place at around 11:15pm on Tuesday, a 57-year-old Vanadzor resident had caused physical injuries to both Hovhannes Hakobyan and the 44-year-old man who was taken to the hospital.

At 1:25am on Wednesday, this man was found, detained, and brought to a Vanadzor police station.

An investigation is underway.
