The opposition in Armenia plans to take active actions in the near future, opposition MP Gegham Manukyan stated during the traditional press briefings at the National Assembly Thursday.

In addition to rallies and protests, the opposition plans to visit Armenia’s provinces, meet with the people, and actively engage in legislative activities.

According to Manukyan, public debates were held during the last month and a half.

"After the start of the autumn session in the National Assembly, we launched wide-scale discussions with experts outside the walls of the parliament—on political and socioeconomic issues. All this remained unfinished due to the Azerbaijani [military] aggression of September 13. You will see many of our colleagues—MPs, party figures, activists—in the provinces in the near future," said the opposition lawmaker.

Manukyan, however, did not note specific timeframes.
