YEREVAN. – One should have not only certain knowledge for traffic and transportation but also strong nervous system in Yerevan. It is a serious issue, who is the driver. Life of the passengers depends on the psychological condition, patience and professionalism of the driver.

Earlier Armenian News-NEWS.am reported about some incidents regarding the minibus drivers. In particular, cases referred to N 98 and N26 minibuses. In the first case the driver ran over a dog and killed it. He did not break because he had no breaks and this case a child may have been instead the dog. In both cases the person has no place in the society, let alone in transport. However, no responsible body reacted to this case. In the second case the driver hurt the passenger by telling her not to sit in a certain place, as he did not liked the woman. This is in the case when the minibus was half filled.

The minibus drivers also neglect the sigh prohibiting smoking in transport. Suchlike examples are a lot. Firstly, passengers should know to demand a service for which they pay. Secondly, competent bodies should select drivers following certain criteria, whom people can trust their life and health.
