Nine police officers were killed and 13 others were injured after a police van was blown up in Pakistan, Dawn newspaper writes.

The explosion took place Monday on the bridge connecting Kachhi and Sibi Districts of the province of Balochistan.

According to the preliminary theory, a suicide bomber exploded near the van.

The wounded were taken to the hospital, the place of the explosion is cordoned off, and sappers are working there.

No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion yet.
