MOSCOW. – Grigory Tatusyan, the assistant security affairs officer of the head of Zvenigorod administration in Moscow Oblast, was recently detained on suspicion of bribe.    

All that is known for now is that a criminal case is launched, МК informed. Tatusyan was taken into custody on Thursday, the day when Russian President Dmitry Medvedev visited Zvenigorod to inspect preparations for the upcoming heating season.         

Court hearing is rescheduled for October 3. Law enforcement needs to submit additional evidence to arrest Tatusyan. 

This spring the media reflected on the mayoral election campaign in Zvenigorod and Grigory Tatusyan’s part in that campaign. The main nominees were Sergey Zhuravsky, from the Spravedlivaya Rossiya Party, and mayor-in-office Leonid Stavitsky, from Russia’s ruling Yedinaya Rossiya Party. Stavitsky had provided hefty sums to follow the opponent’s campaign headquarters. And news was circulated that Grigory Tatusyan’s relatives from Armenia were hired for this task and that they were under Tatusyan’s directive.
