The Parliament of Georgia expressed confidence in the new government led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, reports Georgia News.

In addition to the prime minister, there is another change in the new government. Juansher Burchuladze has been replaced by deputy chairperson of the parliament, Irakli Chikovani, as Minister of Defense.

Today's session of the parliament lasted almost 11 hours and was accompanied by loud debates. Many times they turned into disputes between the parliamentary majority and the opposition.

Kobakhidze, 45, has become the seventh prime minister of the Georgian Dream Party, which has been in power in Georgia since the fall of 2012. His predecessor, Irakli Garibashvili, was appointed to this position twice.
