MOSCOW. – Armenian capital Yerevan’s Ashot Vardapetyan is designated as general referee of the world chess championship title match, which will be played in Moscow, from May 10 to 31, 2012, between the current champion, Viswanathan Anand of India and the challenger, Boris Gelfand of Israel.
Both Anand and Gelfand have confirmed Vardapetyan’s nomination, which was made by the World Chess Federation, Chess-news.ru informed.
