YEREVAN. - Armenian parliamentary opposition Heritage party will not settle the issue with ruling Republican MP Arakel Movsisyan in the legal field, head of Heritage group, MP Stepan Safaryan said at a press conference on Thursday commenting on the behavior of the ruling MP during Wednesday’s parliament session.
Safaryan said that it is not the first incident that occurs with Movsisyan. Previously he used indecent expressions on the address of another Heritage MP Zaruhi Postanjyan. She filed a lawsuit, but it was left unanswered. This time the party will not waste time on it, Safaryan added.
According to him, the party will follow the issue, but has no intentions to settle it in the legal field as it is fruitless.
On Wednesday Heritage MP Armen Martirosyan did not hear how the acting Speaker Samvel Nikoyan invites him for the speech because of the stir at the Parliament. However, when Martirosyan approached to deliver the speech, he had to interrupt it for several times as a result of the noise. After all Movsisyan freaked out and called opposition MP ‘cattle’. As a result, oral skirmish followed between the MPs, which Nikoyan was unable to control.
