YEREVAN. – Reports on African Plague are not yet confirmed in Lorut village of Armenia’s Lori Region, region’s Governor Arthur Nalbandyan said on Monday. He confirmed that 7 pigs died. However, specialists cannot come into agreement on the symptoms. Yet, The Governor does not exclude that the reason may be the African Plague.

“Farmers did not breed pigs after African Plague was registered in the village last year. However, they again started to breed and seems the disease is repeated,” Nalbandyan said.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am earlier reported, some pigs had fever in the village. According to the release by the Ministry of Agriculture, symptoms looked like that of the Plague.
