The prime minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof , took part—under a pseudonym—in the half marathon held in the capital Amsterdam and finished it in just under two hours, reports NOS.

Schoof registered for this competition under the name "Peter Jansen" and did not announce his participation until after the race to avoid attention, he explained.

His starting number, however, was his real name—but without his last name.

He could not manage to hide completely from the vigilant citizens; several times he was recognized and directly greeted as "Mr. Prime Minister," and at the finish line, Schoof was “caught” by reporters.

Dick Schoof  completed this half marathon in 1 hour and 53 minutes. He has been a runner for a long time and has already run in marathons.
