YEREVAN.- In the past two days, gold and Euro have lost value in the world markets, but US Dollar is on an upward surge. Gold lost value on Tuesday, too.
According to analysts, the reduction in gold prices is a result of the concerns that China and India, which together manufacture 55 percent of the world’s jewelry products, would cut down on the purchase of gold.
Also, Euro’s global exchange rate dropped on Monday, reaching down to US$ 1.3187 for €1. And this is conditioned by the statements from the Moody’s and Fitch rating agencies. Analysts from Moody’s noted that concrete steps were not mentioned during the EU summit on December 9, and this maintains the short-term vulnerability of the Euro zone.
But on Tuesday, the Euro stabilized in the financial markets, and it even gained some value. At present, €1 is around $1.3192, and it could even surpass $1.32.
