Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani, accompanied by Minister of Defense Murhaf Abu Qasra and Head of Intelligence Anas Khattab, has arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on their first official visit to the country, reports the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The representatives of the new Syrian authorities will discuss the "prospects for cooperation and coordination between the two countries."

The UAE is the third country visited by the Syrian government delegation after the change of power in Syria. Al-Shaibani, Abu Qasra, and Khattab visited Qatar Sunday. And in early January, they visited Saudi Arabia.

The Syrian delegation plans to visit Jordan in the coming days.
