Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said Tuesday after a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron that political leaders in Europe and beyond fully support maintaining respect for international borders. “Friends from the Nordic countries and Europe and from outside Europe have made it clear that, of course, the territories and sovereignty of states must be respected. This is crucial for the international community that we have built together after World War II,” Frederiksen told TV2.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed his desire to establish control over Greenland, a semi-autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, writes Reuters.
