Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: [PM] Nikol Pashinyan will visit the US on February 3-7, where he will participate in the annual International Religious Freedom Summit and the National Prayer Breakfast. The summit will be held for the fifth time, but practically no major country leader will attend it.

According to our information, the Armenian side has previously petitioned to the White House administration, with a request for a working meeting so that Pashinyan can meet with new President Donald Trump during the days of [his] US visit. However, they have not received any response so far.

Pashinyan's spokesperson, as usual, did not answer our calls yesterday to clarify whether there will be a meeting or not. Despite this, some [Armenian] authorities’ circles insist that the meeting will definitely take place: at the White House on February 5.

It should be noted that the National Prayer Breakfast is scheduled for that very day, and it is possible that Pashinyan will manage to stand next to Trump and even be photographed [with him] during that breakfast. Now his positions are very fragile—outside support is extremely important [to him].
