White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has harshly described some of the programs of the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

Speaking to reporters on Monday, she listed several USAID programs that have drawn strong objections from the current US administration, led by President Donald Trump.

In particular, the White House press secretary noted the USAID program to expand racial and diversity, equality and inclusion in Serbia, which cost $ 1.5 million, the staging of a “transgender opera” in Colombia, which was funded in the amount of $ 47,000, and the allocation of $ 32,000 for the release of comics with transgender characters in Peru.

According to Leavitt, over the past few years, there has been an abuse of power at USAID, and the latter has had crazy priorities in its work.

The White House press secretary dismissed the view that Elon Musk may not have the knowledge and experience to adequately assess USAID’s activities.

But Leavitt was at a loss to clarify whether Musk had access to classified information, and if so, at what level.

The White House press office later issued a statement saying that the USAID had in fact spent hundreds of millions of dollars to support the unprecedented cultivation of opium poppy and heroin production in Afghanistan, as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy food for militants affiliated with the Al Qaeda terrorist group in Syria.

USAID has been unaccountable to US taxpayers for decades and has actually been busy with the personal projects of US government bureaucrats, the White House argued in its press release.
