YEREVAN. – The Armenian State Revenue Committee (SRC) is continuing its inspections at Electricity Network of Armenia (ENA) Company, the latter’s general manager Yevgeny Bibin stated, during a press conference on Thursday, expressing a hope that there will be some solution by early next year.  

“We have appealed the revenue committee’s fine issued against ENA, and I am hopeful there will be some clarification in this matter within the first quarter of next year,” Bibin said.  

To note, in October SRC had launched a search in all ENA branches, during which important documents were confiscated. The search had commenced along the lines of the criminal case that was launched as a result of SRC’s inspections. SRC is convinced that ENA has not paid all of the profit taxes, income taxes, value added taxes, and mandatory social payments to the state budget. The total amount constitutes close to 1.9 billion drams (approx. US$ 4,972,610). And in this connection, ENA had petitioned SRC Appeals’ Commission.
