Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has welcomed Turkey’s initiative to allow Iran to store its low-enriched uranium in Turkey. Turkey is a friendly state for Iran us and can play a positive and constructive role in this matter, Ahmadinejad said as quoted by reliable sources. He reaffirmed that Iran will not make any concessions in a dispute over the nuclear program and will negotiate the problems with IAEA alone.

Turkey, in turn, is expecting Tehran’s official answer to its proposal, stated Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. Iranians trust us, but a strong opposition exists inside Iran. They believe that the problem is in the export of uranium from Iran, rather than in Turkey, Hurriyet reports, referring to the Turkish FM. The Turkish FM also stated that his country has no problems with storing uranium, as all the necessary technologies are available.
