YEREVAN. – A 23-year-old informed Armenian Police Force’s Ararat Precinct, on Monday, that on the same day he discovered, at Urtsadzor village, the dead body of his grandfather, Ashot Melikyan, 73. 

Multiple puncture wounds were discovered on the body, Police Force informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Also, bloody knife and scissors were found near the body, along with 400,000 drams (approx. US$ 1,038) in the pocket of Melikyan’s jacket, and gold and silver jewelry under the bed mattress.   

The circumstances are being ascertained, and an investigation is launched.
