YEREVAN. – The PayPal online payment system is established on the Visa and Master Card systems.  

Armenian Economy Minister’s advisor Vahe Danielyan informed that there is a plan to include Armenia in such systems. “But they primarily are guided by security considerations. Having a card, a citizen of Armenia can register in PayPal and conduct commerce, but our tradesmen cannot have an account in the PayPal system,” Danielyan noted.           

In his view, PayPal must be developed in Armenia only after when E-commerce infrastructures are created and the obstacles are eliminated. “We need to have a good processing center, [and] banks that have corresponding licenses and are installed with security systems,” Armenian Economy Minister’s advisor said.
