YEREVAN. – Tigran Manukyan, who was charged with the Mkhitaryan couple’s recent murder in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, has died Tuesday morning. 

Representatives at the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center, where this man was hospitalized, told about the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Criminal proceedings had been instituted against Manukyan.

A report was received on July 29 at 6:48pm. Accordingly, an unidentified man had fired gunshots—at the courtyard of a Yerevan building—at married couple Hovhannes, 53, and Lusine, 44, Mkhitaryan, both of whom had died on the spot. They were killed outside the garage where they lived.

Several hours later, the police had found the murder suspect, Tigran Manukyan, who, seeing the police, had shot himself and was critically injured.
