Last weekend, Russian border guards in Armenia detained a Turkish citizen, on the bank of Akhurian River.

The Russian frontier detachment in the Armavir Province followed an unidentified person, who illegally crossed the Armenian-Turkish border and attempted to fish in Armenia, informed the press service of the Russian Border Guard Department. And several minutes later, they detained this border trespasser.

It was found out that this person is K. (born in 1995), a resident of Karabağ village in Digor district of Turkey’s Kars Province. He confessed to committing this offense.

Armenia Police and National Security Service have been informed about this incident.
