YEREVAN. – New details emerge in the killing of ex-deputy of the Armenian parliament Karo Karapetyan.

According to earlier reports, he was killed in a shooting in one of the restaurants in Yerevan on Saturday evening. When searching the site, police found a handgun belonging to another ex-deputy Harutyun Gharagyozyan. The latter’s body was found in a stone carving workshop in one of the districts of Yerevan on Sunday. Preliminary reports suggest that he had committed suicide.

However, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned that police was alerted about the incident by another former MP Abraham Manukyan. He told police that he was present during the meeting of Karapetyan and Gharagyozyan who argued over money and finanial matters. Manukyan was there to act as a mediator, reports say.
