Russian border guards who are stationed in Armenia have apprehended another trespasser at the border with Turkey.

The border guards at the Gyumri border detachment on Monday detected an unidentified person who was crossing the Armenian state border, press service of the Russian Federal Security Service Border Guard Department in Armenia reported.

The border trespasser was detained. According to preliminary information, he is a Turkish citizen.

The Russian border guards have handed him over to Armenian law enforcement.

The relevant authorities will determine the motives behind this illegal border-crossing.
