The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) called on its supporters to join the rally before the meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump to be held at the White House on November 13, Ahval News reported.

Protesters gather in Lafayette Square near the White House, ANCA tweeted.

The organization also accuses Erdogan of a long list of crimes, including actions against democracy, desecration of churches, invasion of Syria, murders of Kurds and Armenian Genocide denial.

Erdogan will arrive in Washington on Wednesday to discuss the current situation in northern Syria with Donald Trump, as well as a number of other issues.

Earlier, the US House adopted a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
