Former Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan has stated that he is ready to return to Armenia and publicly answer all the questions of the investigative body regarding the criminal case on March 1, 2008.

In particular, his respective statement says that if the Armenian authorities are interested in solving the March 1 case, he expects a positive response.

Kostanyan added that if during this public discussion the Armenian law enforcement agencies succeed in presenting more or less reasonable evidence or justification to substantiate and confirm the charges filed against him, he is ready to bear criminal responsibility in the fullest degree of law.

Within the framework of the "March 1 [2008] case" Gevorg Kostanyan has become an accused on charges of abuse of power, goad to official fraud, goad to conceal a serious crime, and goad to falsify evidence in a criminal case on a serious crime.
