Today, at the invitation of President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein Al-Hashemi of Jordan arrived in Armenia on an official visit for the first time.

Among the members of the delegation led by King Abdullah II are his brother, Prince Hamzah bin Hussein; Advisor to the King for Religion and Culture and Personal Delegate, Prince Ghazi bin Mohammad; Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan Ayman Safadi; Advisor to the King for Communication and Coordination Bisher Al Khasawneh and Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tariq Hammouri.

The high-ranking guest was greeted by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan at Zvarnots International Airport.

King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein is highly respected in the Islamic world; he is a representative of the Royal Hashemian dynasty, from the 41st generation of Prophet Muhammad, and was crowned on February 7, 1999.

President Sarkissian and King of Jordan met in April 2019, during President Sarkissian’s working visit to Jordan.
