Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev complained about Armenia's armament, moreover, he believes that "it is necessary to stop arming Armenia".
Aliyev went even further, noting that Azerbaijan would perceive "as an unfriendly step the allocation of funds by other countries to arm Armenia."
"Armenia itself does not have money to buy weapons and never had....If money is again allocated for arming Armenia, we will consider it as an unfriendly step and will act accordingly," he said, adding that "if Yerevan was not allocated loans to buy weapons, the case would not have come to war." At the same time, he said, Azerbaijan "will allocate as much money for the construction of the army as necessary.
