YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: The parliamentary opposition, which was based at France Square [in downtown Yerevan] for about two months, has chosen a new strategy of struggle after picking up tents: they will continue to fight against the authorities in the streets, at least until August 2. That day marks the one year since [Nikol] Pashinyan was appointed to the office of prime minister, after which the opposition gets the opportunity to begin a process of expressing no confidence in the prime minister. Legislation does not allow a process of no-confidence until one year; that is, after August 2, the opposition’s struggle will most likely move from the streets to the parliament.

We were told that the opposition intends to negotiate with various political forces, including the [ruling] CC [Civil Contract Party] members, to carry out the impeachment. The opposition lacks about 25 votes to implement it in the parliament, and there is a mass in the CC dissatisfied with Nikol Pashinyan, which is not disclosed because they are afraid of Pashinyan's punitive sanctions.

But until these masses overcome their fear, there is fear that Pashinyan will sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan by September.

And until August 2, the [opposition] movement has decided to carry out activities in the provinces as well.
