The German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) predicted more than 400 deaths in the first 96 hours, looting and chaos with a widespread blackout in a single German neighborhood.

A similar development was predicted for the Rheingau-Taunus area in the German state of Hesse. It is noted that after two hours, most security and fire alarms will stop working, after eight hours out of communication emergency services.

The first sewage treatment plants will stop working in twenty-four hours, and before that a mass cattle mortality will start. If there is no electricity for four days or more, there will be looting and fires, the damage of which will reach 200 million euros, according to the newspaper.
