In the case when the leader of the barbaric regime in Baku chatters about some "Western Azerbaijan" unknown to history and modern reality, referring to the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and the propaganda machine of this, drums that as if us Armenians are "newcomers," that language in which they are voiced those delusions, proves the complete opposite. Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan wrote about this on Telegram.

"In a considerable number of Azerbaijani dialects, the word for the concept of ‘foundation,’ which is very necessary especially for building a house, is borrowed from the Armenian ‘himk’ [meaning ‘foundation’].

"Moreover, it is widespread not only in Azerbaijani dialects and speeches being spoken in the [Azerbaijani-]occupied Armenian territories: Old Jugha, Vortvat (Ordubad), Sharur, Nakhichevan, Karvachar, Getabak, but also in Dmanis and Kvemo Kartli, as well as in Shamakhi, the center of Mountainous Shirvan.

"Therefore, the enemy's [i.e. Azerbaijan] ambitions towards our sacred homeland are false from the ground up, and the very word ‘himk’ proves that," the Iranologist wrote.
