There is a historical answer to Yerevan's doubts about the sincerity of Russia's intentions in relations with Armenia: Russia has come to its aid many times, defended it and made efforts to stop the bloodshed, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told RIA Novosti.

“If anyone has any questions in Armenia about the sincerity of our thoughts, I think there is a historical answer to that. It is the number of our guys who defended Armenia. And the efforts that the Russian leadership and personally Russian President Vladimir Putin put in to repeatedly stop the bloodshed in this region," Zakharova said.

According to her, this is the "test of endurance" that Moscow has undergone in its relations with Yerevan.
