Ukraine’s European Union (EU) accession talks will kick off Tuesday, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced Monday on X—formerly Twitter.

“Today, I addressed EU Foreign Affairs Council upon [EU foreign policy chief] Josep Borrell's invitation.

I thanked 27 EU member states for approving Ukraine’s and Moldova’s negotiating frameworks. Our EU accession talks will kick off tomorrow.

I also stressed the importance of the 14th EU sanctions package to further strangle Putin’s war economy and welcomed the EU’s latest steps to use frozen Russian assets for Ukraine’s benefit.

Separately, I emphasised the need to expedite military aid deliveries, especially air defense, and expand defense industrial output,” Kuleba stated, in particular.
